Efloraofindia

Hi,           

Btw, are you interested in Indian Flora which is also closely related to butterflies, birds, other aspects etc.? If so, why don't you join 'efloraofindia' e-group (around  2700 members & 2,40,000 messages on 31.3.16) & interact a bit about our flora & bring beauties from your lens, if any? Efloraofindia (eFI in short) is the largest google e-group in the world in this field & the largest nature related e-group (and the most constructive) in India devoted to creating awareness, helping in identification etc. along with discussion on & documentation of Indian Flora.

                                              

Efloraofindia (eFI in short) website helps in documenting flora of India that is being discussed on 'efloraofindia' e-group along with supplementing the working of the group. A species database (Alphabetically family wise- Seed plants etc.) has been created here family wise & then followed genus wise. Intent of this database is compilation of all the posts on 'efloraofindia' e- group so that it's useful to all concerned as all the data about a particular species will be available under a single head & easily searchable. It has the largest database on net on Indian Flora with details of seed plants, ferns, fungi & others of more than 11,000 species (and with more than 2,20,000 pictures at efloraofindia e-group links).

                                                        

Should I add you as a member? You may choose from one of the four options given below:

'All Email: send each message as it arrives' option (around 50 messages per day)

'No email: web-only participation' option,

'Abridged Email: one summary email of new activity per day' option or

'Digest Email: up to 25 full new messages in a single email'

One will be able to visit, send replies & post by visiting 'efloraofindia'e-group in any of the above modes without having to bother about emails flooding the inboxes.

For identification, learning, discussion & documentation of Indian Flora, please visit/ join our Efloraofindia Google e-group (largest in the world- around 2700 members & 2,40,000 messages on 31.3.16) or Efloraofindia website (with a species database of more than 11,000 species & 2,20,000 images).

The whole world uses my Image Resource of more than a thousand species & eight thousand images of Birds, Butterflies, Plants etc. (arranged alphabetically & place-wise). You can also use them for free as per Creative Commons license attached with each image.

Participation is open for all. Interested participants can submit their photographs on or before 1st August 2016We look forward to receiving an image for each of you towards this exhibition. 

Four entries are allowed per participant.
Photos can be edited for colour correction and basic adjustment only.
The image should have been shot in North Karnataka.
Images are to be of size 12*18
Collages of print size prescribed is also accepted. Please restrict to two photos per collage.
It is advised to mount images in 19mm material of your choice. Preferably thermacol.
The details such as Scientific Name, Common Name, Place and Date taken and Name of photographer can be placed in the image in a non-obstructive manner.  
The organisers reserve the right to approve the photos for exhibition.

To support our initiative, It our sincere request to give wide publicity among your contacts and friends.
